The past few months have been a whirlwind of creativity and success for us here at Happy Friday.
To put it simply: we’re bursting at the seams with happy news and updates to share.
So, let’s get into it.
The happy people of Happy Friday
As South Africa’s first people-centric agency, we’re all about… well… our people!
So, we decided to show them off! Here’s a closer look at the amazing Happy Friday team and our vibrant company culture.

Moving on up!
We pride ourselves on offering growth opportunities for our people, so we’d like to congratulate our team members who have unlocked a new level at Happy Friday.
Our former Traffic Manager, Simone Isaacs, is now taking on an Account Manager role.
Welcome to the Happy Friday family
Our team is growing, which makes us very happy! Say hello to our new Happy Friday team members.

Keneiloe Shuping – Social Media Manager
After starting her career in event logistics, Keneiloe aka Kini has now fully embraced digital marketing, specialising in organic social media and digital campaigns. A fun fact about Kini is that she attended high school in Hawaii and live on an island that you could drive around in 6 hours.
Khanyi Mpumlwana – Creative Director
Khanyi has conceptualised and crafted major campaigns for the likes of Wikipedia, Jameson, Lexus and Toyota, to name a few. She describes herself as a “creative at the busy intersection of creativity, technology and social change”.
Lufefe Gugushe – Production Assistant
From brand promoter to education assistant to part-time driver, Lufefe has a diverse résumé. Music-loving Lufefe calls pasta and stew a dish he could eat every day and says Jurgen Klopp, Nas and Trent Alexander would be his ideal dinner guests.
Babalwa Dunjana – Traffic Manager
Babalwa aka Babes has honed her traffic management skills for over a decade, working for the likes of eTV and Takealot. Babes says her friends would describe her as free-spirited and bubbly, and she says sushi is the weirdest food she’s tried.
Part 2 of the Lenovo Africa
#SmarterSeries influencer campaign
After the success of part 1, which featured Dr Musa Mthombeni and became one of Lenovo Africa’s most successful earned media influencer content pieces in Southern Africa, we knew we had to follow it up with something special. Part 2 saw Dr. Musa and his wife, Liesl Laurie-Mthombeni, in a Lenovo #SmarterChallenge. His challenge was to keep her entertained during a bout of load shedding and to educate audiences about the Yoga Slim 7 (14, Intel). With an impactful 3.2% engagement rate and an impressive reach of 249,725 the campaign effectively achieved its objectives of increasing brand awareness and showcasing the device’s capabilities.
Stash by Liberty makes a big splash
Stash by Liberty is a forward-thinking app that enables user to start saving tax free from as little as 10c.
Happy Friday was tasked with conceptualising an activation in Kayamandi that highlighted the power of 10c and how, over time, through consistent saving this small change can make a big change that helps you launch your life goals. Our concept “Make a big change with as little as 10c” made a big impact.
Taking esports to the next level in
South Africa
When our client Lenovo partnered with Nixuh and asked us to come up with a campaign that was all about boosting esports in SA, we knew we had to up our game.
The result? #ChampionsOfChange- a multifaceted campaign that unfolded on Lenovo’s gaming platform, Legion Community. It featured insightful panel discussions, action-packed gaming tournaments and, of course, epic giveaways.

Getting people mad about cloud for
Cloudmania
Standing out in the crowded cloud space is no easy feat.
But for Cloudmania we conceptualised an eye-catching and effective acquisition and brand awareness digital campaign. The “Mad About Cloud” concept proved to be a crazy success, with 735 756 impressions on Google and 395 379 impressions on LinkedIn.

New client wins: we’ll be bringing that Friday feeling to work for…
